Ruthie Foster, shown here taping "Austin City Limits" in November 2020, will get a star in front of the Paramount Theatre later this year.

Austin gospel-blues-Americana singer Ruthie Foster will get a star on the sidewalk outside the Paramount Theatre on Nov. 19, with a concert in the historic venue to follow that evening.

Foster is just the sixth artist to be honored on the Paramount sidewalk. Musicians Jerry Jeff Walker, Lyle Lovett and Delbert McClinton have stars, along with "Greater Tuna" creators Jaston Williams and Joe Sears.

A 6 p.m. unveiling ceremony will be free and open to the public. Tickets to Foster's 8 p.m. concert inside the theater go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, via austintheatre.org. Ticket prices have not yet been announced.
